Our average response time is under 24 hours. When emailing, please specify your device model and whether your question relates to the Adults or Kids app.
If you previously denied camera access, the OS prevents the app from prompting you again. You must enable it manually in your system settings:
• **iOS/iPadOS:** Open the **Settings** app, scroll down and tap **ForestForay** or **ForestForay Kids**, and toggle the **Camera** switch to Green/On.
• **Android:** Open **Settings** > **Apps** > **ForestForay** > **Permissions** > **Camera** > Select **Allow only while using the app**.
If your subscription status is not showing correctly, you can force the app to restore your purchase:
1. Open the profile **Settings** (gear icon in the top right).
2. Tap **Go Premium** or **Upgrade**.
3. Tap **Restore Purchase** in the top right corner. The app will query the App Store or Play Store securely and reactivate your premium tier instantly.
ForestForay Kids is designed to comply with COPPA regulations. We do not integrate any third-party advertising SDKs, analytic trackers, or location sharing networks on iOS. Furthermore, any GPS coordinates used for scanning in Kids mode are fuzzed to a ~5km grid server-side to protect your family's exact location.
We respect your right to privacy and control over your data. You can delete all your records, stats, and account data at any time:
**Method 1: In-App Deletion (Recommended)**
1. Tap the **Settings** (gear icon) in the top-right corner of the app camera screen.
2. Scroll down and tap **Delete Account & Data**.
3. Confirm by tapping **Delete Everything**. This will instantly and permanently erase your species sightings, local cache, achievements, and leaderboard entries from both the device and our servers.
**Method 2: Web Request**
If you have uninstalled the app and wish to delete your cloud data, email us at [dustan@amplified-ideas.com](mailto:dustan@amplified-ideas.com) with the subject "Data Deletion Request" and your randomized user/device ID (found in settings, or the email associated with your purchase). We will process the deletion request within 24 hours.
