We believe children's exploration should be secure. We built ForestForay Kids with strict privacy guardrails.

  • No Location Tracking: The Kids app never requests GPS or device location. Regional context for species identification is determined server-side using approximate IP geolocation only — no device location data is ever collected.
  • No External Data Sharing: The Kids app has no Wikipedia or external API access. All species facts are pre-cached locally on the device to prevent third-party data tracking.
  • No Analytics or Ad SDKs: Contains zero Google Analytics, behavioral tracking, or targeted ad networks. The app is 100% ad-free.
  • Privacy-First Image Storage: Cloud scanning photos are processed in memory and deleted instantly. No photos taken by children are stored permanently on our servers.
